My Daemon

Mild theme of rejecting social norms of prejudice. Kento treats daemon like any living creature, while the social norm is to treat them as pests or tools.

Violence towards humans and daemons, scary-looking monsters. People die from stabbings, explosions, and monster attacks. A child witnesses his parent die and then is on the run from adults hunting him and his daemon. Children kill and harm small daemons with excitement. Daemon are abused with electric shocks, cruel science experiments, and verbal abuse. Graphic imagery includes bloody wounds, decapitation, gunfire, possession, and frightening settings (e.g. dark rooms, abandoned buildings, laboratories). A person is turned skinless and then into a skeleton.

A scene starts with an adult peeing outside while camping; no body parts are shown, and the adult is fully clothed.

Profanity like "damn," "s--t," "son of a bitch," "bulls--t," "hell". Children threaten harm to innocent creatures. Adult scientists describe physical abuse on test subjects during experiments. Daemon make aggressive noises, such as repeatedly saying "kill" in a threatening tone.

An adult drinks whisky at a campfire; a child provides ice for the drink when the adult laments not having any.
