As a show, this is a departure from the format of other Kong stories, but still has some merit. Skull Island introduces some young diverse characters, but the multitude of story lines can be somewhat confusing to follow. Viewers looking for action won't be disappointed as the story is packed with creatures and perilous adventures. The infamous island is explored in an interesting, but at times predictable, way.
