What's the Story?
When a group researchers is shipwrecked somewhere in the South Pacific, they accidentally wash up on SKULL ISLAND. Teenagers Mike and Charlie are separated from the ship's captain and realize they must rely on each other to escape the island. The two encounter countless deadly creatures and realize the island is ruled by the largest creature of them all -- a giant ape named Kong. Along their path to survival they meet Annie and Irene, who have different agendas. Will Charlie and Mike be able to get through this unpredictable adventure with their lives, or will Skull Island defeat them?
Is It Any Good?
As a show, this is a departure from the format of other Kong stories, but still has some merit. Skull Island introduces some young diverse characters, but the multitude of story lines can be somewhat confusing to follow. Viewers looking for action won't be disappointed as the story is packed with creatures and perilous adventures. The infamous island is explored in an interesting, but at times predictable, way.
