What’s It About?
AVATAR: BRAVING THE ELEMENTS is a podcast dedicated to all things within the Avatar franchise, catered towards longtime Avatar fans. The show is created for fans and followers of all ages who want a deep dive into the minds of those who brought Avatar: The Last Air Bender and Legend of Korra to life. Hosts Varney and Basco analyze everything from various seasons and specific episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender, with plenty of character analysis from the voice actors themselves. Fellow cast members, directors, writers, and creators join the duo to break down these shows' themes, battles, and little-known show facts. Hearing first-hand from this group of special guests allows fans to understand the story's origins, underlying themes of teamwork and friendship, and how Avatar was brought to life behind the scenes. It's fun hearing the actual creators and actors from the show geek out over a show that's brought millions of people together over the past decade and a half. Guests brought on include the voice actors of Aang and Sokka, and the creative minds behind the show - Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. Episodes are exciting for those who love the tv series, but could be confusing for those new to the Avatar world. It's even more interesting when listened to while watching the tv series, especially with all the references and call backs. The amazing sound quality and fun editing, with clips of the tv show spliced in, are just icing on the cake.
